Training for Commercial Vehicle Wheel Service - the only training program recognized in the Province of Ontario by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development
Full one-day course (approximately 8 hours of classroom training) with an online exam to be performed after.
Prerequisite 480 hours (roughly 3 months full-time work) hands-on experience working alongside certified technician(s).
Upon completion they will receive a certificate from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, allowing them to perform all work including air-up, remove/install wheels, torquing wheels, mount/dismount tires, tire repairs.
Full one-day course (approximately 8 hours) of classroom training combined with practical hands-on training to demonstrate ability to perform certain tasks.
There is no prerequisite for this course.
Suitable for fleets with drivers or mechanics who need to be able to perform some tasks including air-ups, wheel removal/installation, and torquing wheels.
Note that individuals with Level 3 certification are NOT permitted to mount/dismount tires or perform tire repairs on commercial vehicles.
Half-day course (approximately 4 hours) of classroom training combined with practical hands-on training to demonstrate ability to perform certain tasks.
There is no prerequisite for this course.
Suitable for fleets with drivers who need to be able to perform some tasks including air-ups, and torquing wheels/torque checks.
Note that individuals with Level 2 certification are NOT permitted to mount/dismount tires, wheels or perform tire repairs on commercial vehicles.
